Artsidari started 20 years ago in the back room of a rented house in Port Elizabeth. Titch and I decided  to climb out of the “system” and follow our passion.

Neither of us had any training in painting so we taught ourselves. Then, friends started buying our art and before we knew it we were the proud owners of a craft stall at the Boardwalk in Port Elizabeth.  A year later management offered us shop space and we never looked back.

Our work grace the walls of many many homes across the world: John Travolta… the Prince of Bahrain… South African ministers… and VIP lounges at various airports, to name a few!

We love Africa.  The smells. The sounds. The people. And the wild life. That is why we paint her.  Her people and her wild life.

As we wanted to keep our art authentic, unique and easy transportable we decided to do large wall hangings instead of stretched canvasses. Then, we started doing hand printed cushion covers with African designs.

And now we started doing art furniture. Some of which have found their way into the palace of Bahrain.

In 2017 we left the big city behind and decided to make our home in Bathurst, a historic village in the Eastern Cape.

In 2020 in the midst of a pandemic we found a home for our art in the Market at Plettenberg Bay.
